2018 KP Photo Biennial Fine Art Show Recap - Nearly $10,000 Donated to Flashes of Hope

We're proud to share that our 2018 Fine Art Show had the biggest turnout to date, and because of your generous artwork purchases and donations, we raised nearly $10,000 for Flashes of Hope. THANK YOU!

The KP Photo 2018 Fine Art Show took place on April 27-28, and is based on a tradition started by our founders to encourage our staff to challenge and cultivate creative talents outside day-to-day work. As popularity and attendance grew over the years, so did our desire to give back to the community.

Our relationship with Flashes of Hope stems nearly as far back as our art show — more than a decade — and our crew has been donating photography in order to give child cancer patients an opportunity to appreciate their new appearance through stunning portraits. At this year’s fine art event, KP Photo donated 20% of all artwork sales and 100% of raffle ticket proceeds to the Northeast Ohio nonprofit to support its mission to end childhood cancer.

Allison Clarke, founder of Flashes of Hope said, “We are beyond appreciative of all of your efforts and your contribution is truly a significant one. $10,000 covers the cost of 2 chapters for an entire year, helping to bring smiles to 200-300 children with cancer.  We have recently added Hope Chests to every photo shoot, which allow the patients, their siblings and parents to choose special items from stuffed animals to gift cards.  Thanks to your generosity, the families will enjoy the shoots and the gifts that further brighten their days.”

It took more than six months of planning and an entire week of closing the studio to transform our 18,000 sq. ft. studio into an art gallery. More than 500 pieces of artwork were created by staff members and freelancers — all artists in their own right. Many of the hands that created the artwork are renowned in their field, having previous work featured at international exhibits, earning prestigious awards for Photoshop skills, and running successful side businesses of their own.

Each fine art show rewards us with new friendships and partnerships, and we’re especially grateful to the media support and to our vendors.
